Hi, my name is Terence Then and I’ve always loved food since I was a young kid, watching Martin Yan, Jamie Oliver, Curtis Stone, Nigella Lawson, Gordon Ramsey, and many other chefs instead of cartoons. I’ve always wanted to learn cooking but did not have the financial means to enroll myself in culinary school. As I grew older and had more time to research and spend on culinary knowledge and experiences, my mind was blown away by the complexity of ingredients, the different concepts, and visions of many amazing chefs, and most importantly, the depth and wonders of our local food culture and flavors.

Food is a big part of my life aside from my full-time passion for managing a dance business, creating works, and developing students through the means of dance and I believe like dance or all things in life, the culture and knowledge of food truly play such a big part of life itself. It is our common ground giving us identity, growth, and connecting our worlds together. I truly believe that delicious food and knowledge can change the world.

The great Stephen Chow once said "Without dreams, we are no different from a salted fish"

Thus my dream is to hopefully create a sustainable vessel to do my part in preserving our local Singaporean food culture. Be it through recipes, articles, research, or videos. I hope that this space will help let us dig a little deeper into what makes our food culture, and by learning more about what we truly have, we would then be able to responsibly give, from one generation to the next.

I’m truly happy and humbled to have shared a moment with you and I wish you all the biggest blessings in life.
